Meet Dr. Samar Shaikh, B.D.S, M.S
Dr. Samar Shaikh is a distinguished diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She earned her certificate in periodontology and conscious sedation along with a master’s in science degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In addition to private practice, Dr. Shaikh holds the position of assistant professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA.
Her dedication to education was honored with the 2021 American Academy of Periodontology Foundation educator award for excellence in teaching and mentoring in periodontics. Dr. Shaikh’s expertise extends beyond clinics, as she is also a valued author for the esteemed Clinical Cases in Periodontics” and the digital rendition of “Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology”. She also lectures nationally on topics related to hard tissue augmentation and muco-gingival defects.
Dr. Shaikh’s dedication to advancing dental knowledge and elevating patient care is evident in her multifaceted contributions to academia, literature, and lectures. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with her furry companions, Pepper the cat and Coco the dog.
